Esteban Powell (he/him) is a writer that embraces the opportunity to tell vulnerable and honest stories. He gravitates towards topics of faith in relationships, mental health, and how horror can integrate such themes through genre. Directing is an opportunity to bring people together in a guided yet shared vision, with artistic integrity, utmost mutual respect & commitment throughout the process. He recently published his first book as a fundraiser for CAMH (The Centre for Addiction & Mental Health), and was greenlit after pitching a short film for Workman Arts as writer/director (screened at Rendezvous With Madness Film Festival). Last year at TMU, he directed a documentary that played at Trinity Square Video, Tiff Bell Lightbox & IMAFF, wrote a fiction film that played at The Artificial Intelligence International Film Festival in Utah, and directed a fiction film that played at Los Angeles Lift-Off Film Festival & IMAFF.
